Lankford Statement on President Biden’s Budget Proposal

WASHINGTON, DC – Senator James Lankford (R-OK) today issued the following statement on President Joe Biden’s budget proposal for Fiscal Year 2025: 

“President Biden has released his FY2025 budget that build on his concerning State of the Union speech when he championed socialist priorities. This proposal does not represent the American values that made us the greatest nation in the world. Americans do not want bigger federal government—they want a government that protects our national security and provides the basic functions of government. They do not want another wasteful budget proposal that seeks to tax Americans’ hard-earned money to advance failed progressive policies like the Green New Deal. The good news– there has not been one budget proposed by a president that has become law. I will continue my work to expose government waste and fraud and work toward solutions like my Prevent Government Shutdowns Act to make the budget process more transparent, find solutions to secure our border, and stop any attempt to raise taxes on Americans.”
