Lankford Demands Accountability for Baby Formula Shortage

WASHINGTON, DC  – Senator James Lankford (R-OK) along with Senators Tom Cotton (R-AR) and Dan Sullivan (R-AK), introduced a bill that would require President Biden to submit a report to Congress within 30-days detailing the steps the Administration is taking to end the infant formula shortage.

“The Biden Administration has another crisis of their own making on their hands,” said Lankford. “In a public statement this week, the Administration admitted that they have known since last year about the formula shortage and the FDA has drug their feet instead of accelerating the inspection process to re-open the location of the recall. 30 days is more than enough time to see the Administration’s comprehensive plan to address the baby formula crisis with Americans. No parent should be faced with the stress of not knowing if they can find a place to purchase food for their baby.”
