WASHINGTON, DC – Senator James Lankford (R-OK), who serves on the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, joined America’s Newsroom on Fox News to call out Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas and Federal Bureau of Investigation Director Christopher Wray for refusing to show up to a hearing on threats to the homeland. Lankford pushed for answers for the American people.
Excerpt:
Lankford: Quite frankly, today, we were supposed to have a public hearing with Christopher Wray and Alejandro Mayorkas coming before the committee that I sit on, Homeland Security. They both have dropped out within the past hour and said they are not coming. That is one of the questions I had already told them in advance I was going to ask them about is what’s called Special Interest Aliens. That is, the folks from all these different countries we know nothing about that are coming into our country. They have now both dropped out and said they’re just not going to come at all. It is one of a million reasons we’re ready for a transition of Administration January the 20th.
John Roberts: And I understand, Senator, I mean, this is the second day in a row that this hearing has been postponed. Have they given a reason for the no-show they had?
Lankford: They have not given a reason other than they did not want to testify in an open setting on these issues. Again, the American people need to know. We’ve got multiple threats that are out there. We need to know about Special Interest Aliens. We’ve had the Chinese have done a significant hack into telecom systems in the United States. This is something that needs to come out to the American people, and they’re refusing to be able to bring it to light.
