Senate Confirms Oklahoman to be US Marshal

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Senators James Lankford (R-OK) and Jim Inhofe (R-OK) praised the confirmation Kerry Pettingill by the Senate to serve as the United States Marshal for the Eastern District of Oklahoma.

“I am pleased to see the swift confirmation of Kerry Pettingill to be US Marshal for the Eastern District of Oklahoma,” said Lankford. “Kerry has formerly served Oklahoma as Director of the Oklahoma Office of Homeland Security, the nation through his work with the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force, and with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. Kerry will represent our state and nation well in this new role.”

“I am glad Kerry Pettingill was confirmed as U.S. Marshal for the Eastern District of Oklahoma today,” said Inhofe. “With Kerry’s impeccable reputation and established career in law enforcement, I know he will continue to honor his country and serve the people of Oklahoma well. I look forward to working with him in this new capacity.”

Lankford and Inhofe applauded President Trump’s intent to nominate Pettingill on July 1, 2019, and the Judiciary Committee’s advancement of Pettingill to the full Senate for a confirmation vote on September 19, 2019.
