Senator Lankford Hires Northeast Oklahoma Field Representative

WASHINGTON, DC – Senator James Lankford (R-OK) today announced the hire of Jeff Underwood as Field Representative for northeast Oklahoma. The job of Field Representative is to represent the Senator throughout the region and solve federal issues in the state. Jeff will be based in the Senator’s Tulsa office and will travel through northeast Oklahoma on a daily basis.

“I am pleased to have Jeff on our team,” said Lankford. “His experience and skills will serve our office well as we engage and remain connected to northeast Oklahoma. I would encourage any northeast Oklahoman to reach out to Jeff when issues arise that need federal attention.”

Jeff earned a Bachelor’s of Finance from Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri and started his professional career as a real estate advisor. Most recently, Jeff was an Insurance adjuster with United States Automobile Association (USAA). Jeff has roots in Missouri and northwest Arkansas, and has strong family ties in Oklahoma as his wife, Jamie, is an Officer in Oklahoma’s Air National Guard and his mother-in-law is State Senator Kim David. Jeff, his wife and their three-month-old son live in Broken Arrow.

After serving four years in the U.S. House of Representatives, Lankford was sworn in as the 18th Senator from Oklahoma on January 6, to finish the remaining two years of retiring Senator Tom Coburn’s term, which will end January 2017.
