JUST IN: Lankford Releases Statement on Passage of Laken Riley Act and Sarah’s Law

WASHINGTON, DC – Senator James Lankford (R-OK) released the following statement after the passage of the Laken Riley Act and Sarah’s law: 

“Today marks the return of common sense to Washington. The passage of the Laken Riley Act and Sarah’s Law affirms that illegal immigrants will not roam our streets freely any longer. The American people sent Washington a clear mandate in November to secure the border and make our communities safer. I look forward to working with President Trump to uphold that promise,” said Lankford.

Lankford serves on the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee. He voted for and cosponsored the Laken Riley Act and Sarah’s Law.
