WASHINGTON, DC – Senator James Lankford (R-OK) joined Cavuto: Coast to Coast on Fox Business to expose the national security crisis at the southern border and sound the alarm over the risk of untracked Special Interest Aliens crossing into the US illegally. Yesterday, Lankford questioned Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Director Christopher Wray during an unclassified, public Senate Select Committee on Intelligence hearing to discuss the inter-agency tracking challenge with Special Interest Aliens they move freely throughout the country.

Lankford on Untracked Special Interest Aliens Crossing Southern Border: As my conversation with the FBI Director yesterday, we’ve literally had thousands of people crossing that are what are called ‘Special Interest Aliens.’ Those Special Interest Aliens are a known terror risk, but we just don’t know anything about them. So everybody talks about those that are on the terror watchlist. We know there are individuals in the terror watchlist, we detain those, but from these Special Interest Aliens coming from these areas, we know nothing about them. Most of those folks are released into the country. We don’t know where they are at this point. This is why it’s so important for our national security side. We need to do something to be able to dramatically stop this.
