Lankford Issues Statement on Israel and Morocco’s Peace Agreement

WASHINGTON, DC – Senator James Lankford (R-OK) issued the following statement today after President Trump announced that Morocco and Israel have reached an agreement to normalize relations between the two nations:

“As we begin to celebrate the Jewish tradition of the festival of lights, President Trump has continued to lead the region to greater peace between Israel and its Arab neighbors. I commend both nations for taking this step and encourage other nations to open diplomatic ties with Israel. This is the fourth peace agreement that the President and his team have brokered this year. This is a significant achievement for our nation’s diplomacy. The United States should continue to build on the success of the Abraham Accords and work to foster lasting peace in the region.”
