Senator Lankford and Inhofe Praise Senate Confirmation of Judge Charles Goodwin

WASHINGTON, DC – Senators James Lankford (R-OK) and Jim Inhofe (R-OK) today praised the Senate’s confirmation of Judge Charles Goodwin to the US District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma.

“It has been a long road since Judge Goodwin was nominated last year, and I am grateful for his patience and willingness to serve as he and his family walked through this process,” said Lankford. “He has been a respected attorney, an outstanding Magistrate Judge, and now he will finally serve Oklahomans and our nation on the federal bench for the Western District of Oklahoma.”

“The Senate made the right choice today by confirming Charles Goodwin to serve on the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma,” Inhofe said. “In his four years as U.S. magistrate judge in the Western District of Oklahoma, he has proven himself to be fair and ethical. I am confident he will uphold the Constitution and continue to serve the people of the Western District well.”

Lankford and Inhofe applauded President Trump’s nomination of Judge Goodwin in July 2017 and reaffirmed their support for him in October 2017.

Lankford introduced Judge Goodwin at his nomination hearing in December 2017.
