Senator Lankford Meets with President Trump on Trade

WASHINGTON, DC – Senator James Lankford (R-OK) today released the following statement after meeting with President Trump at the White House to discuss the current trade negotiations:

“The President’s announcement today to wrap up trade disputes is an important and significant step forward and I continue to encourage the President and his staff to finalize his agreement with the EU and other trade partners around the world as quickly as possible,” said Lankford. “In Oklahoma, our agriculture community relies heavily on trade to export our products. Opening a new market for agricultural trade to the EU and expanding to new markets is a huge win for Oklahoma producers and the economic future of the nation. I will continue to urge President Trump and his staff to conclude ongoing trade negations to restore certainty, open new markets, and make our trade fair worldwide.”
