Senators Lankford, Inhofe Applaud Oklahoma Nominees for US District Court

WASHINGTON, DC – Senators James Lankford (R-OK) and Jim Inhofe (R-OK) today praised President Trump’s nomination of Justice Patrick Wyrick to serve as District Judge on the US District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma and John M. O’Connor to serve as District Judge on the US District Court for the Eastern, Northern, and Western Districts of Oklahoma.

“Justice Wyrick and John O’Connor are dedicated and principled Oklahomans that will uphold the rule of law while serving the nation from the bench,” said Lankford. “I am grateful that they have accepted the call. I know they will serve Oklahoma well, and I encourage the Senate to promptly confirm their nominations so they can get to work. It is important that the President continues to fill the many federal judicial vacancies across the country.”

“The president nominated two deserving Oklahomans to serve the U.S. District Court for Oklahoma,” Inhofe said. “Patrick Wyrick is well-suited for the position, serving for six years as the Solicitor General of Oklahoma before becoming Justice of the Supreme Court of Oklahoma. John O’Connor also has a distinguished record, serving on the Board of Trustees for Oklahoma State University and is well respected for both his legal ability and community service. I am confident in their abilities and urge my colleagues in the Senate to confirm them swiftly.
