Senators Lankford, Inhofe Praise Committee Passage of Oklahoman to be District Court Judge
WASHINGTON, DC – Senators James Lankford (R-OK) and Jim Inhofe (R-OK) today applauded the Senate Judiciary Committee’s advancement of Mrs. Jodi Dishman to serve as district court judge for the Western District of Oklahoma. Dishman’s nomination will now move to the full Senate for a confirmation vote.
“Jodi Dishman is a reputable, well-qualified attorney, and I am confident she will continue to serve with excellence in her new capacity on the federal bench as a district court judge for the Western District of Oklahoma,” said Lankford. “I anticipate her swift confirmation in the days ahead in the full Senate.”
“Jodi has proven herself as an exemplary attorney, and I am glad to see her nomination reported favorably out of committee today,” Inhofe said. “Jodi not only stood out at the University of Oklahoma College of Law, serving as Editor-in-Chief of the Oklahoma Law Review and receiving the ‘Most Outstanding Graduate Award,’ but she went on to be listed as one of the ‘Best Lawyers in America.’ During her extensive career handling complex judicial cases, Jodi stood out as a top-notch lawyer, and I am looking forward to her swift confirmation.”
Lankford introduced Dishman at her Judiciary hearing on September 25, 2019. Lankford and Inhofe applauded President Trump’s nomination of Dishman on August 14, 2019.
